KEN SCOTT

BIO

Ken is a Canadian, french speaker, screnwiter, comedian and director. In 1991, he received a certificate in screenwriting from the Université du Québec à Montréal and appeared as a member of the popular comedy troupe Les Bizarroids. In the early 2000s, Ken write and co-starred in the Montréal-based Radio-Canada TV series « La Plateau » (2002). He then wrote the screenplay « La grande séduction », a widely distributed and extremely popular comedy that have been screened at Cannes and won major awards at several international film festivals.
After successful scripts and films, « Starbuck » comes in 2011 – a comedy Ken wrote and directed.
The film was a runner-up for the covered People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and made TIFF’s list of the Canada’s Top Ten features of the year. Ken and co-writer Martin Petit received a Genie Award for Best Screenplay. Starbuck’s massive success and broad appeal resulted in remakes in India and France – Ken himself directed the American remake, « Delivey Man » (2013).
